Tamil Nadu NEET Counselling 2026 is conducted by the Tamil Nadu Selection Committee (TNSC) under DME Tamil Nadu for MBBS and BDS admission in Tamil Nadu for the academic session 2026-27. Students who have qualified NEET UG and are domicile of Tamil Nadu can apply for state quota seats. Tamil Nadu has around 9,500 MBBS and 2,873 BDS seats across government and private colleges. What is Tamil Nadu NEET Counselling?

Tamil Nadu NEET Counselling 2026 is the state-level seat allotment process for MBBS and BDS admissions under the 85% state quota in Tamil Nadu. It is conducted by the Tamil Nadu Selection Committee. Candidates who qualify NEET UG 2026 and meet TN domicile criteria can register. Separately, candidates may also participate in MCC counselling for All India Quota (AIQ) seats. Tamil Nadu has the highest NEET cut offs in South India for government MBBS colleges.

Tamil Nadu NEET Counselling 2026 – Eligibility Criteria

  • NEET UG Qualification: Must have qualified NEET UG 2026.
  • TN Domicile: Tamil Nadu nativity/domicile is required for state quota seats. Candidates must have studied in Tamil Nadu schools.
  • Age: At least 17 years old as on December 31, 2026.
  • Academic Qualification: Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology with minimum 50% marks (40% for SC/ST/OBC/MBC).

      Hi,

      You can get admission in colleges of Tamil Nadu if you qualify NEET with good rank and become eligible for 15% all India quota seats. Candidates who are eligible for 15% all India quota seats can get admission throughout India, depending on the rank and availability of seats.
